Catching Criminals in Kerrisdale

• Genesis Security’s “Community Patrol” identifies suspect B & E Thief

•Vancouver, September 8, 2006…The eyes and ears of Kerrisdale are paying dividends for homeowners and businesses beleaguered by a recent rash of Break and Enter crimes.

This week, one of Genesis Security’s 24/7 Community Patrol vehicles acted on a lead from the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) and spotted a suspect vehicle used in numerous property crimes.

By calling in the suspicious vehicle, the VPD were able to locate and capture an individual wanted on three outstanding warrants.

Genesis Security President Camil Dubuc said “It may be a bit early to state that the recent Kerrisdale crime spree has come to an end, but we’re happy to be a part of any solution in the community.”

The Genesis Community Patrol Program, presently operating in Kerrisdale, Dunbar, and Southlands is a free security service dedicated to safeguarding the neighbourhood. As part of this program, fully trained and licensed security guards patrol the community in environmentally-friendly Smart Cars and look out for missing or lost children, unsecured homes and businesses, and any suspicious activities.
